"Shell Rotella: Alaska Air Mail"Unsung: a life in the day of hard work. A Shell Rotella hardworking experience. In the Klondike North, snow and ice sever towns in the Klondike North from the outside world seven months out of the year. People up here rely on a logistical lifeline forged over a century of hard work: the mail. For 30 years as postmaster of Eagle, Alaska, John Borg provided that lifeline, bringing the mail plane to his small town. He continued the legacy of Percy DeWolfe, the Iron Man of the North, who delivered the first mail from Canada to Eagle behind his team of sled dogs. Every Spring, he rides by snow mobile in the Percy DeWolfe mail run from Dawson City, Yukon to Eagle, Alaska and back to honor DeWolfe’s legacy, which was one of honesty and integrity. John worked hard as postmaster.
